I’m Jane - aka Mrs Wiltshire
(yes, Mrs Wiltshire really is my name… people sometimes presume I invented it for the business!)
I’ve been making wedding cakes professionally for 3 years now, but my love for weddings started long before that. As a child I dreamed of working in weddings somehow - in a bridal boutique or as a florist. I've always loved the beauty and romance of it all.
Cake making began with birthday cakes for my children, then one wedding cake for my sister-in-law changed everything. The moment I made it, I knew wedding cakes were what I wanted to do.
Flowers have always been a huge inspiration to me too. I grow roses and edible flowers in my garden, some of which find their way onto my cakes during the summer months.
I’m a proud mum of three, and very lucky to have a lovely husband who helps behind the scenes with washing up, emergency ingredient runs and all the little jobs that keep busy weeks running smoothly.
We live in a little village called Wylye, and when I’m not baking I love spending time in the Wiltshire countryside. My camera roll is mostly filled with cake photos, flowers, countryside views and, of course, far too many photos of my children
What I love most is designing cakes that feel personal to each couple, then seeing everything come together at the venue while adding those final finishing touches.
I’m a perfectionist when it comes to my work because wedding cakes carry so much responsibility - they need to look beautiful, taste incredible, travel safely and stay flawless throughout a long wedding day.
Above all, I want my couples to feel they can completely trust me with such an important part of their celebration.
